The second best time to go on a trek in Nepal is Spring (Mar-May). The environment receives new blossoms and birds. We can enjoy different flowering and non flowering plants. In case of bad weather, if flight is cancel what will be the alternatives?
In case of flight cancelled, you can either go with other alternative treks you like or you can wait for it. Optionally, you can charter a helicopter which is relatively more expensive than regular flight. If the trailhead is connected by road, simply, you can drive if the flight is cancelled. Mostly, Lukla flights are cancelled due to bad weather. Those who are traveling to Everest Base Camp are suggested to have 1/2 spare days so that they can fill the gap of flight cancellation in case of bad weather.
Can i get single supplement service in cities and during trekking?
Yes, you can get single supplement services in Kathmandu and during the trek. During the trek, the accommodation is, normally, sharing basis. If you really want a single supplement during your trip in Kathmandu and in the mountains, you need to inform prior to your trip.
How can i communicate if there's an emergency?
If you have an emergency, the first person you should inform is your guide or the leader. The leader, now, will suggest some sort of first-aids. If the problem still persists, then, the guide will connect you to the travel you are using for your trip. They will immediately arrange rescue if needed. Or, you may be travelling independently and what will you do in this case? If you are an independent traveler and traveling without a guide, you can directly call the company you are using for your journey and tell you your problem. For this, we recommend you install local Nepali SIM in your cell phone: either NCELL or NTC. You also can buy a data pack and run during the trek.
Is it possible to travel without joining a group?

How much trips should i give to the guide and driver?
Actually, tipping depends on how satisfied you are with the service. However, there is a basic guideline for tipping. Normally, people tip 10% of the total cost they pay for the entire trip for the guide and porter each. But, for the driver, you can pay USD 5-10 a day as tip. If you are really delighted with the trip you undertook, you can pay for something special too. There is no objection to it.
Are tourists allowed to buy local SIM cards in Nepal?
Yes, it is recommended to install local SIM cards while you are in Nepal. Along with a SIM Card, you can buy some data packs that can be used during your trip. There are two different types of local SIM Cards: NTC and NCELL. For this, tourists have to present photographs and passports.

What safety equipment do you provide for rafting? Do we have to pay extra for using these?
We provide a helmet, safety life jacket and a waterproof container which helps you and your belongings safe during rafting. You don’t need to worry about safety measures during rafting. We will arrange everything. No, you do not have to pay extra for this safety equipment. The cost is included in the package.
What is the differene between a luxury mountain lodge and a standard lodge or Teahouses?
There are two categories of mountain lodges or accommodations while trekking in the mountain of Nepal. These are Luxury mountain lodge and standard mountain lodge or also called teahouse accommodation. Actually, it is hard to get a luxury mountain lodge during trekking in Nepal. But some of the major trekking regions are facilitated with luxury mountain lodges. Luxury mountain accommodations are with western type of bathroom, cozy and spacious bedrooms with hot showers. But, teahouses or standard lodges are the basic type of accommodation in the mountain on a sharing basis. This type of accommodation doesn’t have suite bathrooms and may not have hot showers too.
Where can i store my extra luggage while trekking?
You can store your unnecessary luggage and equipment at the storage in a hotel in Kathmandu. If you are travelling via Pokhara, you can store it there too. The hotel will keep your luggage safely till you ask for it after the completion of the trip. But, do not forget to take luggage tags and do not lose them. You need to present the tags you are given while asking your luggage later on. There is no extra cost for storing luggage at the hotel either in Kathmandu or in Pokhara.

Yes, the necessary trekking or tour permits are included in the trip price. However, if you are preparing an independent trip, you have an option to obtain all required permits for you on your own. But, mostly, the permits are included in the trip price because it is convenient and trekkers do need to worry about it.

There are, basically, two types of trekking permits required for trekking in Nepal. The first one is TIMS ( Trekkers Information Management System) Card. And, the second one is Conservation or Protected Area Entry Permit. Optionally, if you are travelling to a restricted area, you are required to obtain a special area permit.

Are we allowed to take photographs of the places we visit during the tour?
Mostly, you are. But some tour destinations do not allow the tourists to take photographs. Also, some tourist’s sites permit the tourist to take photos of exterior attractions only. If the places do not permit the tourist to take the photographs, you will see the sign of no photographs. Or, your guide will tell you whether to take photographs or not.

But you are suggested to bring down your jacket on your own. All these personal equipment should be very reliable.
Is drinking water readily available during the trek? How safe is it?
Yes. We are going to use the teahouse for accommodation for overnight stay and we also get numerous tea houses/lodges on the trail. These local tea houses provide us safe drinking water during the trek. If you want hot/boiled water, you can easily have it. Some trekking regions provide safe drinking water and some provide bottled water to the trekkers. The water they provide on the trail is completely safe to drink. But you should not drink the water from local taps and rivers.
Do i need to bring additional medicine for trekking?
If you have a particular illness, you are suggested to bring additional medicine for you to have it regularly during the trek. And also, you are to prepare first-aid with basic medicines to prevent certain accidental health problems during the trek. The travel company or the guide also will carry first-aid during the trek. However, taking your own first –aid is a better way to keep yourself safe during the trek.
Is there an age limit for this trek?
No, there is no age restriction for trekking in Nepal. Only you need for trekking in Nepal is good/sound level stamina and reliable equipment. However, small kids below 10 and the elderly above 70 are not recommended for trekking in Nepal in higher elevation. But, they can do city tours and day hiking in Nepal.

What are the documents needed to take a trekking trip?
In order to undertake a trekking trip, one needs to present the passport or copy of passport, recent P.P, sized photographs ( min. 4 pcs), and travel insurance that covers all medical expenses and evacuation in case of emergency. If you fail to present these required documents, you will be unable to undertake a particular trekking trip in Nepal.
Can i do the Everest Base Camp trek on solo basis or do i have to join a group?
Yes, you can do Everest Base Camp Trek independently or solo. It is not mandatory to join a group. However, solo trekking tends to be a little more expensive than joining in a group. The expenses for a trekking will be shared by each individual trekker. But, some people like to do Everest Base Camp on a solo basis and they can do it. For this, you need to inform the travel company before you come to Nepal that you are doing Everest Base Camp Trek on a solo basis.
What temperatures can you expect at the EBC during April and September?
Actually, April and September are the best months of the year to travel to Everest Base Camp. The views are spectacular and the weather is perfect. There are several cases that we have experienced similar to this regarding Lukla Flight. So, we recommend you to bring 1-2 spare days in order to escape this condition.

Our trekking guides are all government license holders, trained, well-experienced and professional. They are trained with hospitality to deal with clients. They will always try their best to make the trekkers delighted and satisfied with their service. They are also aware of weather in the mountain and tell the trekkers to move accordingly. On an average how long will we be walking each day?
Each day, one requires walking for 5-6 hours on average. This includes your lunch time which is normally around 1 hour. If you count the distance that you cover in a day, it is 8-9 km on average. The trail will, sometimes, go all the way up and sometimes, it is flat completely. It depends on the trekking trail you choose. So, those who can walk 5-6 hours covering the distance can celebrate a moderate trekking trip in the Himalayas of Nepal.

Can i get Nepal visa on arrival?
Before the outbreak of CoronaVirus( Covid-19) all foreign nationals would get an arrival visa. But, this rule has been suspended till another formal notice is made for all the visitors who visit Nepal. Hope, the government will again revive the same rule of providing on arrival visa for foreign nationals after the Corona Virus is completely under control. Optionally, you can get the visa from the diplomatic mission located in your country too.
Is the country politically safe and stable?
Yes, it is. Nepal underwent a conflict between Maoists and the government for ten years previously. Now, every party agreed for peace and stability. They sat for the agreement and now they also have overthrown the kingship form Nepal and Nepal is a republic federal state now. Nepal has now its own new constitution addressing all sorts of rights of the people. So, there is no conflict now. Politically, the government is stable and the recent communist government is for 5 years.
Can i use my credit card?
Credit Cards are accepted in major cities like Pokhara, Kathmandu, Chitwan and Lumbini. But, they are not accepted in the mountain and the remote areas of Nepal while trekking. So, we suggest you to pay cash which is convenient and all accepted. If you pay by credit card, 3.5 % additional charge of total cost is made in every payment. So, we do not recommend making the payment by credit cards. If you really want, it's up to you.
Can we travel to nearby countries while visiting Nepal with you?
Yes, you can. For this, you require applying for a visa. It takes one week to obtain a visa to travel to countries like Tibet, Bhutan and India. If you are planning to travel to nearby countries, you need to inform us at least one week before.
What kind of insurance do I need before coming to Nepal? Can I get insurance there?
You require such travel insurance which covers your entire rescue and the medical expenses. While undertaking a tour and trekking in Nepal, you may have problem that you may have to be rescued in some conditions from the mountain and from any other tourist destinations and need to tread your problem, for this purpose, tourists must be with travel insurance before coming Nepal for any kind of trip specially trekking and other adventure activities.
You can get insurance here in Nepal but it is not really recommended. It might be a lengthy process for which you waste your time. It also may disturb your holiday trip.
