Normally, you can do your trek in 12 days. After arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, you take a short scenic flight to Lukla and the real trek begins at the Everest Base Camp. In Everest Base Camp 15 days trek, you will reach the camp in 8th days from Lukla

The best season to trek to Everest Base Camp in Autumn (Sep-Nov) and another in Spring (Mar-May). We have the finest climate during autumn in Nepal. The temperature is mild. In these months the environment remains supportive and skies remain clear. You can have splendid panoramas within a few distances.

Similarly, the landscapes and mountain vistas are stupendous. There is no threat on a trek and you can memorably celebrate the trip. The environment receives new blossoms and birds. We can enjoy different flowering and non-flowering plants.

Food and accommodations are normal and you can get regular continental food along with domestic and some sherpa dishes. Usually for breakfast, toast, pancake, eggs, porridge, and muesli. During lunch, Nepali dal bhat set, noodles, momos, and soups. Except for this, few local foods like sherpa stew, thukpa are also available.

In general, foods are quite normal and you can get many international dishes. In the accommodations part, usually, the rooms are in twin-sharing with little furniture and less decoration. Lukla and Namche have the luxury and fancy rooms as well. They have attached a bathroom until Dingboche. In a few places, there is electricity inside the room as well. The more you climb, the variety of food and accommodations service becomes less as compared to the lower altitude.

Proper cloths and gears are essential to successfully complete the everest base camp trekking. Warm clothes, waterproof trekking shoes, at least 3-4 pairs of fast drying socks, down jackets, warm and comfortable trekking pants, sweat absorbing t-shirts, gloves, sunglasses, sunscreem and mouth covering scarf as well. Trekking poles, duffle bag, water bottle and torch light also required during everest base camp trekking.

Yes, anyone can do this trekking. But, if you are doing trekking for the first time then, you should practise some before going for the real trek. This grade of this trekking is moderate to difficult. So, it's not easy to do. But, with the proper preparation, good guidance, good diet and enough water can take you to the world’s most amazing base camp.

There are basically two seasons in a year, which is considered the best season for Everest base camp trekking. One is autumn which normally starts from September and ends in November. Another is spring, which normally starts from March and ends in May. Mostly climbing parts are done during the spring season.

Normally there are two ways if you get sick in the middle of the trek. One is, stay more days and acclimate your body and try again to climb more. If you still feel sick and can't really go much, then just go down and go down and lose your altitude. Because descending down and losing altitude is the best treatment for altitude sickness.

If you are well prepared and read all the necessary details, then there would be no problems at all. Generally the major problems are, cancellation of flights because of bad weather, sometimes you may not get good accommodation during prime trekking season and the major problem is altitude sickness. These are the major one, and there might be many other small problems that may arise, which normally depend on people.

The toilets facilities are average in service and good in terms of availability. Until Dingboche, you will get an attached bathroom in almost all the hotels. Lobuche and Gorakshel have a shared bathroom,so for a few days we need to adjust.

For normal Everest Base Camp trekking, there are two kinds of permits that you should take with you. One is Municipality entrance permit, which you will get in Lukla and another Sagarmatha national Park permit, Monjo check post provides this permit. Except for this, there is no other permit required to do the regular Everest base camp trek. But, if you want to climb, if you want to fly drones then you should have a permission permit for this.

Useful Information

On Everest Base Camp Trek- 15 days, you will be walking with an average of 5 to 6 hours in a single day, although this does not sound very long. This trek starts at Lukla just below 3,000 meters, Lukla airport is one of the world's most extreme airports.
